Infinite Flights: The Guide to Completing the Distance Challenge in Fortnite
Gamers are no strangers to weekly challenges in Fortnite, and every Tuesday, a new set of quests appear, offering players the opportunity to earn XP for the Battle Pass. While some challenges are straightforward, completing a quest that requires traversing a distance in mid-air without using a wingsuit or glider may leave players scratching their heads.
In this guide, we’ll show you the best way to complete the distance challenge in Fortnite’s week 7, which will reward you with 20,000 XP and satisfy your curiosity.
The Golden Rule: Find a Reliable Ride
To achieve the unthinkable, you’ll need to secure a vehicle and crash it into a mountainous terrain. Vehicles are abundant in Chapter 5, Season 4, typically found at gas stations throughout the map. Landing on a gas station is your best bet to secure a vehicle, and these areas usually have scattered weapons.
There are various methods to get airborne in a vehicle. Many mountains and cliffs can be driven and crashed into, bringing you closer to the challenge’s solution. Additionally, Flaming Boost Hoops can further propel your vehicle into the sky.
Alternative Options for Lift-Off
Rather than crashing your vehicle into a mountain, you can plunder Avengers Chests and hope to find War Machine’s Arsenal-Schwebejets, which include a jetpack. If you’re lucky, this will give you the initial boost you need to ascend into the sky.
One Thousand Meters of Zero-G Fun
To reach the required distance of 1,000 meters in mid-air, you’ll need to spend a decent amount of time airborne. Once you’ve achieved the feat, you’ll receive 20,000 XP and the quest will be removed from your week 7 list.
Remaining Challenges for Week 7:
* Drive to named locations in a single match (3) – 20,000 XP
* Collect 25 containers – 20,000 XP
* Deal over 200 damage to opponents with a single shot – 20,000 XP
* Collect legendary or mythical items from eliminated opponents (3) – 20,000 XP
